More than a thousand leaders from Bank of the Philippine Islands convened at the E.L.I.T.E. (Empowering Leaders, Inspiring Transformational Excellence) Summit 2024 last month.

Engaging participants in a talk show format that brought innovation and a growth mindset to the forefront, the event featured organizational psychologist and author Adam Grant, who championed the transformative power of learning from setbacks and failure.

Azran Osman-Rani, the pioneering CEO of AirAsia X, demonstrated how smart adaptations of proven concepts, insightful observations, and knowledge of customer needs can lead to groundbreaking changes. Jason Lai, the lead conductor at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of the National University of Singapore, drew parallels between leading an orchestra and a corporate team, highlighting the importance of clear communication, emotional intelligence, and unified efforts.

The summit's innovative breakout sessions, called "solution rooms", tackled leadership challenges across multigenerational leadership, well-being, data-driven decision making, and customer obsession, providing a hands-on approach to pressing issues.

Culminating in a rousing speech by BPI President and CEO TG Limcaoco, the E.L.I.T.E. Summit 2024 inspired optimism and a resolute determination among top executives to lead BPI towards a future defined by growth and innovation.
