Amorsolo: Chroma-Inspired Art Workshops for All Ages

In May, Ayala Museum is offering three exciting workshops for kids and two creative sessions for adults to explore painting, color, and light. Inspired by its new exhibit Amorsolo: Chroma, these workshops offer a fun and creative way to connect with the legacy of the country’s first National Artist. IMAGINE IT BETTER

Rediscovering Amorsolo

Ayala Museum proudly presents Amorsolo: Chroma, an exhibition that reintroduces the country’s first National Artist, Fernando Amorsolo (1892–1972) to a new generation of Filipinos through a contemporary, experiential lens.

This is the first time that the Ayala Museum is featuring an exhibition on a revered master of Philippine art with interactivity in mind. And aside from the experience, the exhibition was designed considering the accessibility of art. Through learning stations and digital displays, visitors can explore the nuances of Amorsolo’s palette and experiment with their own perception of color. And in a first for Philippine museums, EnChroma Color Blind Glasses will be available for visitors with color vision deficiency (CVD)—a condition that affects nearly 5 percent of Filipinos.

Amorsolo: Chroma invites visitors of all ages to rediscover the artist’s genius and explore how he helped shape the way Filipinos have seen themselves—and what his iconic, light-filled vision means to Filipinos today.

Iconic pastoral scenes and landscapes are given the hands-on experience—from paint-by-color activities to CVD digital stations to a “Light Room” exploring how color works in both art and technology.

Amorsolo: Chroma is supported by BPI and Boysen and runs until September 7.
Ayala group employees enjoy a discounted rate for admission. Book tickets at ayalamuseum.org/visit.
