In the past week since Typhoon Carina and monsoon rains flooded the National Capital Region on July 24, #BrigadangAyala has mobilized partners and volunteers to deliver food packs and hot meals to affected communities, reaching 23,500 individuals in seven cities.

Within 24 hours of beginning relief operations, AFI provided 8,000 hot meals to residents in flooded areas in Manila, Quezon City, Malabon City, and Marikina City. Over the weekend, AFI prepared 2,000 hot meals for Valenzuela residents and distributed 1,700 food packs for Marikina City, Valenzuela City, and Malabon City residents.

Food distribution activities continued in Pasay City and Caloocan City on July 29, with each food pack containing rice, canned goods, and instant coffee, to supplement the food needs of a family of five for at least two days.

The Ayala group’s local and international donation channels remain open to those who wish to support AFI’s Typhoon Carina relief efforts.
