BYD Sealion 6 DM-i Rolls Out

ACMobility has unveiled its latest electric vehicle model, the BYD Sealion 6 DM-i, now available in all BYD showrooms nationwide.

With an extended range of over 1,000 kilometers, the five-seater SUV is ideal for those who want all the benefits of an electric vehicle without worrying about limited range or finding the nearest charging location. With its modern styling and best-in-class features, and powered by BYD’s Super DM-i technology, the BYD Sealion 6 DM-i delivers a safe and comfortable driving experience—free of range anxiety—on all roads.

Said ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala at the launch on July 25: “With this, we take more steps forward towards our goal to present the public with the right vehicle options that can provide them with longevity, safety, efficiency, and the practicality that everyone seeks. Because of your trust and support, we are confident that full electric mobility will happen sooner rather than later.” He also spoke about expanding ACMobility’s EV charging network across the country.

With the launch event happening in the wake of Typhoon Carina (Gaemi), BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division General Manager and BYD Japan President Liu Xueliang announced that the company will support Ayala’s typhoon relief efforts by donating US$100 for every BYD Sealion 6 DM-i sold until the end of the year.

The BYD Sealion 6 DM-i is priced at P1,548,000. It comes with a 1.7 kW portable charger and a free 7 kW wall charger to allow for faster charging times at home. It also features vehicle-to-load capabilities, which can power common household appliances or tools, broadening its use beyond mobility.
