The Tharu Has Arrived

The Volkswagen Tharu, the German automaker’s new global SUV, has arrived in the Philippines, with the first batch of units officially unveiled on September 29 at the Karrera Café in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

The Tharu, which is touted to be Volkswagen’s showcase of next-level SUV innovations, was available for public display and test drive in two variants—the 300 TSI DSG SE and the top-of-the-line 300 TSI DSG SEL. The Tharu comes in sophisticated colors such as Pure White, Mangan Grey, Petroleum Blue, and Polytech Blue.

Apart from getting a feel of the SUV’s cutting-edge drive technologies, those who get behind the wheel of the Tharu will experience first-hand its robust, commanding stance, and its safety and convenience features including matrix LED headlights with adaptive front lighting system, panoramic sunroof, virtual pedal tailgate, and intelligent park assist, to name a few.

According to Volkswagen Philippines, the Tharu has been designed and engineered to bring you and your family to new adventures—as well as to everyday destinations—in style and comfort. Indicative pricing for the SE is around P1.8 million, while the SEL is offered at around P1.95 million.
