A Look Back on Ayala’s First Centennial

In 1934, Ayala celebrated its first one hundred years and marked the beginning of a new century of contributing to the growth of the nation. The next ninety years would see the transformation of Ayala from a partnership into a publicly listed corporation, developing key industries and building businesses that enable people to thrive.

The commemorative medallion bears the inscription: “1834-1934 / Centenario de la Fundación de Ayala y Cía / Manila, I.F. [Islas Filipinas]”.

The reverse side of the medallion features elements of the heraldic achievement of the Ayala family and the coat of arms of the Philippines during the American colonial period.
