ICT Advisory: CVE-2024-38063 - Windows TCP/IP Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

Dear All,

We would like to inform you on the critical vulnerability affecting Windows devices - CVE-2024-38063 - Windows TCP/IP Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. As Microsoft explained in its Tuesday advisory, unauthenticated attackers can exploit the flaw remotely in low-complexity attacks by repeatedly sending IPv6 packets that include specially crafted packets. This vulnerability has an increased likelihood of exploitation that impacts all Windows systems using IPv6, which is enabled by default.

Automatic Windows updates are enabled by default on Ayala Corporation laptops, and updates should have been released to your laptops already. However, it requires a computer restart for updates to be fully installed. We strongly urge users to take time to install and restart, and not delay this update.
